2023 Western Horse Riding Camp Day 4
Horse Time!
Our campers got to spend time with our horses again! They can ride, practice turns, stops, how to get on and off a horse too!
Western Tack
Diane, our horse EDU leader showed campers all her horse’s tack! She showed them all the different parts of what tack is. It acts as a seat for the horses and something to grab on.
Learning all about horses!
Campers were shown photos of many different horses then named them all. A lot of them are very knowledgeable about horses.
Garden Kitchen: Western Scrambled Eggs & Horse Popsicles and apples
Brunch for a snack! Campers learned how cowboys will get a hearty meal for breakfast then be out all day and eat a filling dinner. They’re sticking to the western theme this week. The scrambled eggs were a hit. In the afternoon they made popsicles for the horses as a refreshing treat and snacked on apples.
