Job description About this Job:

Syngenta is seeking a Vegetable Seed Field Trialing - Temporary Technician in in Michigan (near Benton Harbor), with short stays in Indiana, to help shape the future of Agriculture.

As a Vegetable Seed Field Trialing - Temporary Technician at Advance Services Inc., you have the opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, and work on real projects finding real solutions.

Employment: Part-time position for 2025 (July – August)

You will:

  • Gain thorough knowledge and understanding of Vegetable Seeds product
  • Support vegetable seeds field development activities such trial implementation, maintenance, and data collection in field.
  • Manage watermelon, squash, and possibly sweet corn field trials under the guidance of Product Placement Scientist(s).
  • Perform field work and collect data during planting, growing and harvest at all required locations
  • Learn processes and skills utilized to develop products and
  • Perform other duties as

Qualifications

What you must have:

  • A High School diploma and/or pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree program in Agriculture, Biological Science, or another closely related field of study
  • Proficiency in English
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable moving violations record

What you might also contribute to the team:

  • Communication-The ability to communicate information well (both written and spoken) is highly desired
  • Detail/Accuracy Oriented-All procedures and policies must be understood and followed
  • Autonomous- An independent individual who is self-motivating and needs little supervision
  • Previous internship and/or co-op experience related to Agriculture is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
