Assistant Superintendent Position
Description:
The Assistant will work alongside the Superintendent to plan and execute daily operations and evaluate current agronomic programs/procedures. The daily role of the Assistant includes disease and insect scouting, participating in daily maintenance, crew management, irrigation scheduling and repair and application of pesticides/nutrients. The goal of this position is to prepare the Assistant to be capable of advancing his/her career to a Superintendent position. Qualified candidates, including those currently in turf school that expect to graduate in Spring 2025, are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 year degree in Turf grass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in golf course maintenance
- Strong knowledge of turfgrass management practices, irrigation systems, and equipment operation.
- Pesticide applicator's license or ability to obtain one within 6
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather
Salary and Benefits:
- $45,000 - $55,000 Salary
