Each lesson focuses on cooking skills while teaching teens nutrition, food safety and physical activity. All lessons build on one another and gives the student time to practice new skills as well as develop new understanding and habits regarding personal nutrition and health.
Each participant receives a handbook that is filled with vibrant colored pages that reinforce skills as well as provides many healthy recipes for them to use at home with their families.
Topics include:
-Eat Smart
-You Are What You Eat
-Power up with Breakfast
-Find the Fat
-Whole Truth on Whole Grains
-Snack Attack
Class meets on July 9, 23, 30, Aug 6, 13, & 20.
