Increasing food access is one of the main missions of many farmers. One way to support is by participating in food assistance program. There are number of food assistance programs and EBT and WIC programs are one of them. Join us during lunchtime for an insightful session with Danielle Leach from Country Roads Farm about accepting food assistance programs as a farmer. Danielle will share her journey of successfully getting approved to accept EBT Bridge Cards and participate in the WIC Produce Connection program. She’ll discuss the process, challenges, and benefits of offering these payment options at her farm, and she’s kindly agreed to answer any questions you may have. Whether you’re considering accepting food assistance programs, or simply curious about how it works, this is a great opportunity to learn from her experience. More information about food assistance programs visit Michigan farmers market association website.
