The Food-Grade Grains Field Day will highlight the steps to growing food-grade grains from the field to mug, spoon & jug!
We’ll discuss the agronomy, variety selection, processing, and end markets of specific food grade grains including wheat, canola, buckwheat, rye, barley, and oats. At each stop presenters and attendees will discuss the agronomic, processing, and end user quality needs and considerations for the specific grain. Lunch is included.
This event is co-hosted by Michigan Agriculture Advancement (MiAA), the Kellogg Biological Station (KBS) Long-Term Agroecosystem Research (LTAR) site, and Michigan State University (MSU) Extension.
