4-H Trick Dog Challenge

Each week, youth will be sent descriptions and videos for 6 tricks in 3 different difficulty levels. No special equipment will be required, but a sturdy box, bench, couch, or other platform may be helpful for some tricks! Youth are not expected to complete all 6 tricks each week, they are encouraged to pick their favorite 1-2 tricks to focus on! At the end of each week, there will be a 1 hour ZOOM help session for any youth that are struggling with a particular trick. Youth are encouraged to send in video clips of them training their dog, or of their dog successfully completing a trick!
Some tricks will be noted as being AKC Trick Dog Novice (TKN) approved. Youth and their families who are interested in completing this title should reach out to 4-H staff to discuss the additional requirements for this title. Youth who already have their CGC certificate or already have their TKN, and would like to pursue a more advanced trick title, should reach out to 4-H staff as well. Mixed breed dogs and unregistered dogs are welcome to apply for this title!
Youth who successfully complete at least 5 tricks over the 8 week time frame will be awarded prizes for their participation!
