16th Annual Agroforestry Symposium

January 30, 2025 11:00AM - 6:00PM

605 Elm Street Columbia, MO or Online

On January 30th, 2025, the Center for Agroforestry will host the 16th Annual Agroforestry Symposium in-person and online. The full-day program features insightful and intersectional voices on the realities of landscape-scale transformations made possible when agroforestry practices are designed for simultaneous conservation, restoration, and production goals.

Agroforestry practices have long been recognized for their multifunctionality, but implementation and impact is complex and context-specific. Presenters from across the nation will discuss how ecosystem services are valued in these systems, best practices for navigating the unique challenges in harmonizing restoration and harvest, and the deep roots of these integrated practices.

Natural resource professionals, producers, and other land stewards are invited to join us the day before, on January 29th from 1pm to 5pm, for a Learning Circle focused on applications of agroforestry as restoration. Learning Circles combine workshop presentations with structured discussion and networking to highlight each participant’s experiences and insights as essential contributions to our collective learning.
