Medical Device Packaging Short Course

This course is intended for medical device professionals performing packaging related tasks. The course will help you understand the basics and will provide an overview of the most relevant aspects of the medical device packaging industry including the challenges that this industry is currently facing.

The course includes an introduction to medical device packaging, general medical device packaging regulations, understating packaging design, its materials and components, the use of test standards, packaging process validation requirements, and typical medical packaging failures, among other important topics.

The course is offered in five (5), three-hour long sessions taught by the Michigan State University School of Packaging Instructor Dr. Rosamari Feliu with the collaboration of Dr. Laura Bix and Cimberly Weir. The topics included per session are as follows below.
