MSU Tollgate Farm in Novi, Michigan has interactive, educational, and fun school and community field trips designed for a variety of ages.
Insect Investigations (September - October, April - June): What role do insects play in an ecosystem? Insects are very unique organisms with fascinating life cycles. There is a great diversity of insects that can be found within ecosystems, and they are an integral part of the food web. Although insects are typically pretty small, they certainly play a big role in the world. This inquiry-based program is interactive and takes students on an exciting tour of the farm looking for insects and discovering their part in our ecosystem.
Programs $ 12/per adult or child. Teachers are free. Financial aid process available.
